Description
The Stoughton Area School District is seeking a strategic and experienced leader to be our new Director of Student Services starting July 1, 2026. This administrative position will lead a vision for Student Services and Special Education that aligns with the District's mission and values, and build, evaluate, and lead an effective team to help achieve it.
This leader will lead and coordinate all special education and student services, including health services. They will focus on inclusive practices, which embrace all learners as valued members of the school community, and ensure that children who need additional interventions or intensive support can learn alongside their peers in school. Additionally, this leader will seek ways to impart a restorative and trauma-informed care approach to student conduct.
They will be responsible for professional development pertaining to special education services and statutory requirements. In addition to ensuring legal compliance on behalf of the District for Student Services, they will serve as the District Homeless Liaison, Title IX Coordinator, and as 504 Coordinator.

Requirements
Qualified candidates will possess an administrator license as a Director of Special Education and Pupil Services from the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction, have several years of successful teaching experience in a related field, and knowledge of overall instructional programs, methods and special education services.
