Description
St. John School District is seeking a dedicated, student-centered High School Math Teacher to serve students in grades 9–12. This position provides the opportunity to make an immediate and meaningful impact in a small, close-knit rural school where relationships, consistency, and instructional quality matter.
The successful candidate will provide clear, engaging, bell-to-bell instruction aligned to Washington State learning standards and support students working toward required graduation credits. Courses may include Algebra I, Algebra II, Geometry, and other secondary math offerings as assigned. Instructional technology may be used to enhance learning but is expected to supplement.
St. John School District offers a supportive administrative team, small class sizes, and a collaborative environment focused on student success, growth, and strong relationships.
Requirements
Washington State teaching certificate with appropriate math endorsement, or ability to obtain
Bachelor’s degree in mathematics, math education, or a related field
Strong content knowledge in secondary mathematics
Ability to provide clear, structured instruction and support diverse learners
Commitment to student engagement, consistency, and relationship-based teaching
Willingness to collaborate with colleagues and support student graduation pathways
